Why You Should Choose GoPro Hero 1 1080p 30 fps or 1080p 60 fps Depending on Your Shooting Scenario

With the Hero6 Black GoPro kept the resolution at the same maximum of 4K as in the Hero5, but pushed the frame rates to 60fps (from 30fps), and boosted 1080p to 240fps. GoPro basically doubled the headline frame rates of the previous generation of the Hero Black ation camera.

As ever with DJI, there is a good selection of filming options with 4X slow motion filmed at 1080p 120fps. Footage can be filmed in either H.264 or H.264, making the most from the small SD card storage.

The iPhone 13 Pro is capable of shooting 4K video at 60fps, with full access to all three lenses when shooting. It can also record 1080p HD video at 120 and 240fps for slow motion playback. But Apple has also introduced a number of intriguing new features for videographers that should also appeal.

Offering fantastic image quality, the YI 4K Action and Sports Camera has plenty of the bells and whistles you would expect from much more expensive action cameras. Built with the new generation Ambarella A9SE75 chip, Sony IMX377 image sensor, and 7 layers of all glass lenses, it records 4K/30 FPS at 60mbps, which is 4x the quality of 1080p.

This little camera benefits from an impressive 4K/60 FPS and 1080p/240 FPS, so you can film in up to 8X super-smooth slow motion. There are several photo and video modes, including photo time-lapse, photo burst, slow motion, and 2.7K/30 FPS video time-lapse, meaning you can create awesome stills and video using just this tiny action camera.

Shoot 4K footage at 15 FPS or for faster action, choose 30 FPS in 1080p. Connect the camera to Wi-Fi and you can upload your photos and footage straight to social media rather than waiting to get home to share your adventures with friends and family.

4K refers to the number of pixels, 4 times the overall pixel count of Full HD 1080p. FPS refers to the frequency at which consecutive images or frames appear on a display per second. The 4k@60fps means an image with a resolution of 3840x2160 or 4096x2160 pixels is displayed 60 times per second. Frankly, there are some other types of frame rates, e.g. 24fps, 30fps, 120fps, except for 60fps. Which is better, 4k 60fps or 4k 30fps? Why is 4k 60fps important to play 4k UHD content? Here are specific usages and reasons why 60fps is the best frame rate for 4K 2160p video.

2. It's choppy and laggy to play 4k 60fps video on elder PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, and more. Processing 4K videos is demanding. It asks for modern hardware. Or else, playback or editing 4K video at 60fps or even 30fps will be stuttering, lagging and even lead to software crash. Consequently, it's a must-have to convert 4K 60fps video to a regular 1080p/720p video for smooth playback or editing.

You can run the 4k video converter on your Windows (10) or Mac. Press the +Video button to load the 4k 60fps video > Choose Mp4 H.264 as the output format. Optionally, you can downscale 4k to 1080p, change the video frame rate from 60fps to 30fps from the gear-shaped icon. Then press RUN button to start conversion. WinX Video Converter automatically enables hardware acceleration to speed up the 4k process. It won't take a long time to finish the 4k video conversion.

Live-streaming is still limited to 1080p and low-light performance leaves plenty to be desired. But with an Enduro battery now included as standard, plus a 5.3K TimeWarp setting, we found the GoPro Hero 11 Black a truly feature-packed action camera. It proved a polished companion in testing, balancing pro tricks with a user-friendly interface, all wrapped up in tough, pocket-friendly packaging.

But if you're happy to mainly shoot in 2.7K or 1080p, we found that the Hero 7 Black captures excellent quality video at frame-rates up to 120p, while offering the original versions of TimeWarp (for shooting hyperlapses) and HyperSmooth stabilization for smoothing out any judder. The other main difference from recent GoPros is that this model lacks built-in mounting fingers, which means you'll need the included mounting frame to attach it to objects. But that's not a huge deal and in most other respects (battery life, ruggedness, waterproofing and 12MP SuperPhotos) this model is a match for the Hero 8 Black.

The 1/2.3-inch sensor is relatively small, but it can still capture reasonable raw stills and 4K footage at up to 30fps. Overexposure is a risk in bright conditions, but colours are generally rich, with sensor-shift stabilization doing something to combat vibrations. In its high-speed setting, the TG-6 can also shoot 1080p video at 120fps, but only for 20 seconds.

The big news with the release of the HERO 6 Black Action camera is the custom GP1 processor, which provides amazing image stabilization and 3x Wi-Fi speeds compared to previous models. With better low-light performance and wider dynamic range, your action-camera video has never looked better. It shoots 4K video at 60 FPS, and 1080p video at 240 FPS for slow-motion fun.

There was also a Hero model released the same year, aimed at consumers on a budget. With a permanent water-proof case and capture-rate of 1080p at 30 FPS, and 720p at 60 FPS, it was the perfect entry-level GoPro.

When recording at 60fps at 1080p resolution I get nearly the same file size, for the same recording duration, as when recording at 30fps. (The 30fps is actually a bit larger) Looking at the mp4 properties, the 60fps has a total bitrate of 45008kbps while the 30 has 45144kbps. When I asked in the GoPro chat, the chat "tech" responded with

Me (2/6/2018, 7:14:29 PM): I'm gobsmacked, I truly am. There are twice as many 1080p images in the same space of time. You cannot have the same quality of individual frames in both those [scenarios] [and] come up with the same file sizes. Either the 60fps is more tightly compressed, thereby losing quality or the 30fps adds a frame. But the later would be shown on the video properties pages ...

The fact that it can record at 4K resolution at up to 60fps makes it a great option for taking fast-paced sports videos. While 1080p is perfectly acceptable, 4K video is slowly but surely becoming the new standard and it also gives you more freedom in post-processing.

The image sensor has a resolution of 20.1 MP, giving you excellent image quality for photos. You get 4K video recording at 30 fps. And you can increase the frame rate for streaming by dropping to Full HD video (1080p) at a smooth 60 fps. 2ff7e9595c
